Having left the forest of desire (for the life of a householder), he takes pleasure in the forest (for the life of a bhikkhu), and yet, though freed from desire (for the householder), runs back to the very house. Come, look at that man who, having become free, rushes back into that very same bondage.

People beset with craving are terrified like a snared hare. Therefore, one who wishes to free himself from craving should eradicate craving.
